So, I did the Food Styling course at Leiths School of Food and Wine recently and the biggest takeaway was that I don’t really have a knack for this sort of thing.
I reckon it will come with time, and I’ve certainly bought enough ‘props’ to practise with. But a natural ‘eye’ for artfully unkempt visual storytelling of the gastronomic kind, I do not have.
I did however manage to muster the below fig and goats cheese tart for our food styling finale (with a significant helping hand from our wonderful tutor Jennifer Joyce and food photographer Stuart Ovenden, it has to be said).
Still, I have hope based on this figgy little beauty.
